Our client, a top, global full-service firm, seeks an associate with three to six years experience to join their Securities, Commodities and Exchange Regulation Group in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience with a broad range of regulatory issues affecting participants in the securities and derivatives markets, including a working understanding of the Commodity Exchange Act and Securities Exchange Act. Candidates must have strong analytic, research, drafting and oral communication skills, and experience with futures, swaps and securities brokerage and trading issues; the operation of exchange and OTC markets; clearing operations; and documentation of relationships between market participants.
