Successful Legal Recruiting Built on Steadfast Relationships
Recently, at a national conference for legal recruitment professionals, a headline speaker told the audience of legal recruiters, “At the end of the day, successful legal recruiting is all about numbers. The number of cold calls you make, the number of emails you send, the number of resumes you receive and the number of candidates you submit.” WE DISAGREE. At Atticus Recruiting, successful legal recruiting starts and ends with relationships. Relationships with legal employers, relationships with past clients and relationships with current candidates. Relationships that are built and earned on confidentiality, mutual respect, experience and expertise.
Our Commitment to Excellence Ensures Success
On average, we place twelve highly skilled and exceptionally well-credentialed attorneys a year. That means three things:
- We are successful.
- Our candidates, whether they are partners with significant portable business or a junior associate looking to lateral, receive our undivided attention and effort on their behalf.
- Legal employers want to receive our submissions because they know we only work with exceptional attorneys and that we won’t inundate them with a slew of marginal resumes. Simply put, Atticus Recruiting candidates get interviews.
We are always looking for stellar attorneys. Learn more about the current positions we have available or submit your resume for review today.
Local Legal Recruiting by Chicago Legal Recruiters
For the past two decades, Atticus Recruiting’s principals have lived and worked in Chicago. Prior to a stint with the Brooklyn Public Defenders Office in New York and as a clinical lecturer at Stanford University Law School, our Director of Legal Recruiting, Michelle, taught 2nd and 3rd year law students as a clinical lecturer in law for the Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic at The University of Chicago Law School. Currently she consults for the Office of Career Services at The Law School, preparing the 2nd and 3rd year students for OCI and working with alumni on their legal career goals and lateral aspirations. Many of Michelle’s former students and clients are successful managing partners, equity and income partners, general and assistant general counsels and c-suite executives at local, national and international law firms and public and private companies.
